International Student Orientation is scheduled approximately two weeks before the beginning of each semester. Participation in the orientation program is mandatory to receive information necessary to attend CSN and to register for classes.
Orientation is a two-day process.
DAY ONE: During the first day you will be introduced to the campus staff and student orientation leaders. You will meet other new students, learn about campus facilities, and health insurance requirements. Lunch is provided.
DAY TWO:
English Placement Testing
Non-native English speaking students are required to take the English as a Second Language placement test to determine the level of ESL/English to take the first semester. Native English speaking International students must take the English placement test.
Banking Workshop
Students will have the opportunity to meet with local bank representatives and open an account at the optional banking workshop.
Housing Workshop
Should you need a place to live in Las Vegas, attend the optional housing workshop during orientation. Students will receive information on local apartment complexes including prices, location, and contract information. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to find a roommate.
